After creating a huge expectation among his fans and movie-goers with some publicity stills and an engrossing theatrical trailer, Kamal Haasan is said to be gearing up for the audio-launch of his upcoming film Viswaroopam. Sources close to the actor-par-excellence say that the audio-launch is likely to be held in the first fortnight of June.
The entire shooting schedule of the film, which stars Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jermaiah as the leading ladies, has been wrapped up. The ‘special effects’ work including adding visual effects and special sound effects besides the routine re-recording and dubbing schedules have been going on as per plan and are likely to come to an end in a couple of weeks’ time.
As already reported in these columns, the film has been shot mostly in the U.S. Besides playing the lead role in the film, Kamal has also produced and directed the film. Ever since the film’s ‘first look’ was revealed ten days ago, the expectation and anticipation among the star’s fans have reached a crescendo as to when the film would be releasing gin theatres.
Kamal is reportedly in talks with leading television channels to sell the satellite broadcasting rights of the film. Sun TV and Jaya TV are said to be the front-runners in acquiring the film which has music by the trio of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy who had earlier scored the music for Kamal’s forgettable movie Aalavandhaan. The audio is likely to release in June to be followed by the film’s theatrical release all over the world in July.
