Actress Kajal Aggarwal is fast becoming controversy’s favourite child. The actress had been caught in the eye of a storm following her reported remarks in Mumbai that she wasn’t so keen to be known as a ‘South Indian actress’. These remarks triggered widespread condemnation from the industry with many calling for a blanket ban on her in both Tamil and Telugu films.
Not many were convinced when she issued a denial later saying that she had been ‘misquoted’ by the press. Kajal has now landed up in a fresh controversy. The Telugu press has been painting the town red with reports that the actress tried to ‘assault’ upcoming hero Naga Chaitanya during a shooting schedule in Hyderabad.
Naga and Kajal have been playing lead roles in the upcoming Telugu venture ‘Dada’ and were shooting in Hyderabad recently. It is said that during the course of their conversation during the break, they reportedly got heated up as the talk changed into an argument during when Kajal is said to have tried to ‘assault’ Naga out of anger.
Had the crew not intervened promptly, an ugly situation would have developed, sources point out. Kajal is said to have spoken angrily at the crew members who prevented her from coming to blows with the young hero. Naga, on his part, chose to maintain silence at the intervention and request of the director.
Kajal’s latest act might cost her dearly in terms of films, reports the Telugu press.
