Not many heroes have the courage and determination to play the hero and villain in the same film. They are usually apprehensive of the public’s response and tend to avoid such scripts. Superstar Rajinikanth, though, had the courage and tenacity to do so in his super-duper hit film ‘Enthiran: The Robot’. Rajini played with aplomb the roles of the hero (scientist) as well as the Robot (Chitty) who turns into a villain and won accolades.
Actor ‘Jayam’ Ravi, apparently taking a cue from the superstar’s performance, is doing the same thing in his upcoming film ‘Aadhibagawan’ directed by Ameer. The film has been in the making for the past one-and-a-half years but still just 60% of the film has been completed, it is said. The next schedule of the film’s shooting is to be held in the (c)hilly region of Ladakh. The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and pairs ‘Jayam’ Ravi and hottie Neetu Chandra for the first time together.
The script of ‘Aadhibagawan’, held back so secretly by the film’s crew, is leaking and it is said that Ravi would be playing dual roles for the first time in his career: he plays the hero as well as the villain. It is also informed that more than the hero’s role, the villain’s characterization has come out very well and would be a ‘hit’ with the actor’s fans and the masses.
Ravi’s next project could be with R. Kannan, who has just completed his ‘Vanthaan Vendraan’ starring Jiiva and Tapasee in the lead. At a recently filmy event, Ravi himself expressed his wish to star in a film by Kannan. ‘Jayam’ Ravi has also taken up the project ‘Boologam’ after which he would commit himself to Kannan’s film.
