The crew of the upcoming film Nanban is said to have been ‘irritated’ beyond the limit by the reported tantrums thrown by actress Ileana who plays the lead role in the film. After his huge and unprecedented success in the Rajini-starrer Enthiran: The Robot, director Shankar is presently making Nanban, the remake of Bollywood super-hit film 3 Idiots.
The film also marks the comeback to Tamil films of Tollywood queen Ileana. The slim and svelte actress, who possesses an hour-glass body, made her acting debut in Tamil films some years back with the forgettable flick Kedi opposite Ravikrishna, a film in which Tamannaah played a negative role. Shankar has brought Ileana to Tamil films by paying her a huge sum as her fee to star in the film opposite Vijay.
When a song sequence was filmed for the film recently, Shankar had brought from Bollywood the famous choreographer Farah Khan, who has trained the likes of dancing sensation Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, to choreograph this particular song featuring Ileana. For some reasons, though, Ileana skipped the rehearsals and kept Farah Khan waiting at the shooting spot.
Ileana’s claims of ‘stomach upset’ turned a false alarm when she was taken to a nearby hospital and was tested by some doctors. Knowing that Ileana was alright and hoping that she’d resume shooting, Farah went to the shooting spot again and waited for Ileana. A fed-up Shankar finally canned the song sequence sans Ilena, it is reported.
Wonder what went wrong?
