Hansika, the latest sensation who has been causing sleepless nights to Tamil male audiences irrespective of their ages, has scored heavily with her latest release Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK). The film, which pits her opposite producer Udhayanidhi who debuts as hero, has opened to a thunderous response from audience in almost all the parts of the State. If the audience’s interest is sustained for a few more weeks, the film might turn out to be a super-hit venture.
With her ultra-while complexion and chiseled features, it hasn’t taken a long time for pretty Hansika to establish herself firmly in the saddle in Kollywood. She might soon find herself as the ‘No.1’ heroine in Tamil in view of the fact that Trisha has already started looking ‘jaded’ and that Tamannaah and Tapasee, her competitors to the top slot, aren’t concentrating that hard in Tamil due to their respective hectic Telugu film careers.
The ‘dreamgirl’ title which was bestowed on Hansika a few months back by her fans in Singapore seems just the appropriate thing as she has added to the growing number of fans by a huge number thanks to the success of OKOK. Hansika not only looked ravishing in the film but also had a role to perform which she did with aplomb.
Though she started off with a couple of non-starters in Engeyum Kaadhal and Maappillai, Hansika has now delivered a couple of hit films in Velayudham and OKOK. She also has a few prominent projects in Simbu’s Vettai Mannan and Suriya’s Singam-2. Due to the market demand so sign her up in films, Hansika is said to have increased her fee per film to 1 crore, just 15 months after debuting in Tamil films.
She is also ‘sitting’ on a proplsal by her fans near Trichy requesting her to allow them to ‘build a temple’ in her name!
