Music director G.V. Prakash Kumar is going places for sure. The boyish-faced music director, nephew of music wizard A.R. Rahman, impressed one and all with his catchy tunes in Dhanush’s ‘Aadukalam’ and is all set to continue his good work in his forthcoming films too. Sources say that he is all set for his Bollywood debut later this year as music director.
GVP has the panache to bring the best out of debutant singers, In fact, in his short stint of less than five years in Kollywood, he has introduced as many as 22 new playback singers, which could be a record of sorts. Kumar, who has been working round-the-clock in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies, has also completed scoring music for as many as 45 films during this period.
He is now all set to launch his younger sister Bhavani as playback singer. Bhavani, a trained singer, is said to be preparing herself for the grand launch by singing ‘pilot tracks’ in many of GVP’s songs and films which are under production at present.
Let’s wish her a successful tenure in films!
