It’s not often that superstar Rajinikanth loses sleep over an issue. The star has been recovering gradually and has been gaining his old health after falling ill last April and getting treated at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital. He has only recently started shooting for his upcoming 3-D animation film Kochadaiyaan which is directed by his younger daughter Soundarya.
Now the Kollywood tinsel town is buzzing with the rumours that superstar’s son-in-law, Dhanush and Shruti Hassan his co-star in the upcoming film 3, have reportedly got ‘closer’ to each other off-screen. It is said that they have regularly been attending parties together, including the New Year day’s bash last Saturday. This news has rattled the family members of Rajini and his elder daughter Aishwarya, who is married to Dhanush. Incidentally, Aishwarya is also making her directorial debut with the film 3.
Rajini is reportedly in a state of ‘unrest’ over the news item which would have a direct bearing on the life of his elder daughter. Dhanush and Aishwarya have had their share of ‘misunderstanding’ and had even lived ‘separately’ for a brief period after marriage. Though Rajini took everything in his stride, he hasn’t been able to digest reports about the latest affair.
In order to bring the issue under control, Rajini and Latha reportedly got in touch with Dhanush’s father and producer-director Kasthuri Raja. Rajini and his spouse didn’t mince their words while talking to their Sambandhi and had told him in no uncertain terms that it’s high time he (Raja) brought his son’s erratic behaviour under control. “Otherwise, we would have to deal with the issue on our own,” was the message sent out to Dhanush’s parents, it is further reported.
Shruti on her part has come out with her own clarification. “I have always enjoyed a convenient professional relationship with Dhanush, who appeared friendlier than the stars I’ve acted with so far. Aishwarya is my close friend and I won’t do anything to jeopardize our friendship. Ours is nothing but a professional bonding,” says Shruti.
We only hope that it remains the way she claims to be!
