Ajith would soon be starting work on his dream project ‘Billa-2’, a sequence to his highly successful ‘Billa’ three years ago, once he wraps up the shooting of his landmark 50th film ‘Mankatha’. The film, being directed by Venkatprabhu, is said to be in its final stages of shooting.
Stunning-looking Huma Qureshi, a young theatre artiste from Delhi (presently living in Mumbai, though), would be debuting as Ajith’s heroine in the film. Huma has done many commercials including Samsung Mobiles, Pears Soap, Parle Monaco and LG Washing Machine. The dashing and talented Huma is presently staring in her debut Bollywod film titled ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, which is directed by Anurag Kashyap.
Producer Suresh Balaje feels Huma would fit the role ‘like a pair of gloves’ in ‘Billa-2’ as the role envisaged for her is a strong, pivotal role. Huma possesses the requisite talent, temperament and the screen presence to carry the role with élan, the makers feel.
A delighted Huma says, “I am delighted to be a part of ‘Billa-2’ and consider myself fortunate to be debuting in Tamil films that too opposite a leading star like Ajith.”
The film would be directed by Chakri Toleti, who had earlier made the Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ in 2009.
