Sneha’s case is a strange one. The actress neither has a long list (or even a short one) of memorable films nor has delivered indelible performances in all her films. More often than not, she has only been shown as a glamour girl in all her films. To hit the nail on its head, Sneha doesn’t appear to be regretting about the fact that there is not a single film in her decade-long career in Kollywood that she can claim as a successful venture purely because of her presence!
Sneha has the knack of staying in the news despite not having theatrical release of her films at regular intervals. Her last film was the dud Bhavani IPS which sank without a trace several months back. The tag of a ‘homely actress’ has stuck with Sneha who says that though she hasn’t been doing many films of late, she would love to do roles which remain etched in the minds of the audience.
After debuting as Prashanth’s heroine in Virumbigiraen almost a decade back, Sneha has been long enough to have contributed to Tamil films as an actress but sadly enough, nothing of that sort happened. Queried as to why she hasn’t been spotted often in films, Sneha says she didn’t want to do films just for the sake of doing something. “I’d love to do roles which remain for a long time in the viewers’ memory and have been waiting for such roles.
“I’d love to do more roles like what I did in Parthiban Kanavu and Pirivom Sandhippom. I’m not in a hurry to take up film offers. I have a Telugu film opposite Nagarjuna, Vidiyal opposite Sarath Kumar and Murattukkalai opposite Sundar C. I hope to bounce back into reckoning with these films,” she concludes.
