One of the few actresses who combine good looks, acting talents and appreciable work ethics, actress Bhavana has been out of work and out of favour in Tamil films for reasons not deciphered by many. The actress debuted in director Myshkin’s ‘Chittiram Pesudhadi’ opposite Narain a few years back. After last year’s ‘Asal’ opposite Ajith as one of his heroines, she is still looking for a good project in Tamil.
Bhavana, however, is busy in Malayalam and Kannada films with a couple of films in Malayalam and a solitary project in Kannada. She had a chance meeting with Hollywood great James Cameron (remember ‘Avatar’?) in Dubai recently and is mighty excited that she had herself phogoraphed with him.
“For some reasons, I’m being offered the same kind of characters in Tamil which I have been refusing. I heard many scripts but nothing has excited me so far. I would like to change the formula that a heroine has only to dance for 3-4 songs in a film and then romance her hero. Why can’t she do something fruitful and useful to the society?
“I’m fed up of doing the same characters again and again. I would come back to Kollywood if and only if I’m offered some exciting stuff,” says Bhavana.
When would it happen, Ma’am?
