Amala Paul is undoubtedly one of the most promising actresses who has entered Kollywood in recent times. After goofing-up with a wrong choice of films in her first two outings including the very forgettable Sindhu Samaveli, Amala came back strongly into reckoning last year with an amazing performance in director Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa which earned her many accolades from critics and industry-watchers.
After Mynaa, she again took on a performance-oriented role in director Vijay’s Deivathirumagal which released a few months back and proved a point or two to many that she is here to stay. Offers to star in new films poured in her kitty yet she didn’t go on a signing spree but selected only two of those offers.
One of them is director Lingusamy’s Vettai opposite Aarya. Vettai is Lingusamy’s next directorial venture after the huge hit Paiya early last year and also stars Madhavan and Sameera Reddy as another pair in lead roles. Even before the shooting of the film was completed, Amala has been offered a meaty role in Telugu film Bejawada Rowdylu opposite upcoming star Naga Chaitanya.
Apparently in her keenness to enter the world of Telugu films, Amala kept waiting the entire Unit of Vettai which needed her dates for a few more days to complete the film’s shooting schedule. Insiders add that for an upcoming actress who holds a lot of promise, hopes Amala would do well to plan better in managing her call-sheet diary so as to obviate possible misunderstandings with producers and directors.
Meanwhile, she is also playing the lead role opposite Atharva in an upcoming film titled Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal.
