Director Bala’s latest Tamil film ‘Avan Ivan’ was released in its dubbed version in Telugu as ‘Vaadu Veedu’. To the surprise of many and no surprisingly for Vishan’s fans, the film has raked in a whopping Rs.20 crores so far. Unlike other dubbed films, the Telugu version ‘Vaadu Veedu’ witnessed a grand gala audio launch prior to the film’s theatrical release which was attended among others by Allu Arjun, one of Tollywood’s leading young guns.
When he spoke on the occasion, Arjun had remarked that he was a great fan of director Bala and that he was ready to star in the latter’s film at any given time. Arjun has never shied away from seeking offers from leading directors in Tamil and Telugu films the moment he comes across face-to-face with them. Bala didn’t appear to take Arjun’s remarks seriously.
Arjun surprised Bala by paying a personal visit to his Chennai Office when he was in Chennai for an assignment recently. Bala was highly impressed by Arjun’s wish to work with him. Reports say that Bala might soon give into Arjun’s demand of directing him in a Tamil film in future.
Besides Allu Arjun, many Tollywood heroes appear to be knocking the doors of Kollywood. Pavan Kalyan, another top hero, is likely to star in a Tamil-Telugu bilingual to be made by choreographer Raju Sundaram. Ram Charan Teja, son of mega-star Chiranjeevi, is also likely to star in a Tamil film to be directed by Dharani. It is also said that Junior NTR might star in K.V. Anand’s next film.
It’s time for our Tamil heroes to brave the onslaught of their Telugu coungerparts!
