It is said that Ajith, who always does his best in bailing out those in trouble, agreed to star in A.M. Rathnam’s Arrambam (which is scheduled to release on 31st October) mainly to bail the former out of his financial mess. As if this is not enough, Ajith might soon star in another film to be produced by Rathnam early next year, if reports emanating from Kollywood are to be relied upon.
Ajith is said to be mighty impressed by the way Rathnam treated him during the making of Arrambam that he had voluntarily told the latter that he is ready to star in another film under his banner. There is another set of rumours which say that Ajith’s next film after Veeram (which is due to release on Pongal in January next year) would be directed by ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Menon and Ajith haven’t worked together earlier though there were rumours of Menon directing Ajith in the now-abandoned Thuppariyum Anand. Though the film was abandoned for a variety of reasons, Ajith wanted to work in Menon’s film and is said to have sounded the latter to prepare a script for their film to be made next year. Menon is down (but not out) after Suriya publicly walked out of his film citing many reasons.
Ajith has apparently decided to step in and help Menon as the latter finds himself in troubled waters. A formal announcement, however, about their new film is yet to be made. In an industry which completely boycotts those who are in trouble, Ajith’s act of going out of his way and voluntarily helping such artistes is indeed an appreciable one!
