Dhanush turned 28 yesterday. The actor, who is on a high after winning the coveted national award for ‘best actor’ for his portrayal of a rural youth in director Vetrimaran’s ‘Aadukalam’, appears unfazed by the no-show of some of his films. In the industry now for almost a decade now, he appears to have learnt the art of taking failures and successes in his stride.
Dhanush celebrated his birthday by shooting for the first time under his wife Aishwarya’s direction. Aishwarya, who worked under director Selvaraghavan during the making of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, is debuting as director with this yet-to-be titled venture which is likely to have either Shruti Haasan or Amala Paul as Dhanush’s heroine.
Dhanush, who functioned as superstar Rajini’s spokesman while he was under treatment in Singapore, is introducing a newcomer as music director in the film. A duet by Vijay Yesudas and Swetha Menon has already been recorded, it is said. Velraj would be taking care of cinematography. Shruti Haasan has said in her Twitter that she couldn’t ‘act with Dhanush’ as she wasn’t able to allot dates for the shooting of the film.
Which could mean only one thing: Amala Paul is almost certain to pair up opposite Dhanush in the film. Most of the film would be shot in and around Chennai itself, it is learnt.
We wish Aishwarya good luck in her debut directorial venture!
