Weekend Update for August 12th 2011

Top pick Jeevas Rowthiram

August 15th arrives in a couple of days and movie goers promise to make full use of their Independence Day holidays. Keeping their trust strong in their loyal fans, there are 5 good releases lined up for you to choose from. The golden pick among the lot goes to Jeevas Rowthiram directed by debutant Gokul. The movie is being heavily promoted produced by R. B. Choudary’s Super Good Films. It has been allotted all major screens across the city and plans to cash on its theme of patriotism and social welfare this Independence day. Jeeva has sexy lass Shriya Saran playing his lover and a law college student.

Next on their list is Uyarthiru 420 which has lyricist Snehan turning hero for a change. The lead pair is played by Vaseegaran and the lovely Meghna. The highlight of the movie is the music by Mani Sharma who joins director Premnath in telling a tale of getting rich and dirty. Then there is Konjam Veyil Konjam Mazhai a musical love story. The lens department for this one has been handled by Mynaa guy Sukumar, who has captured some breathtaking shots of Madurai. Director Palanivel Raja Sankaran Kovil is also up for release with its rural theme and stuntman Kanal Kannan fight sequences trying to pull in the crowds. Others can opt for the soft-core flick Susi Appadithan starring some heated performances by Punith, Saierakhan, Vasavi and Leema.
