Actors Prajin and Sandra, couple in real life, have stated that contrary to what appeared in the press yesterday, they didn’t disappear from the shooting spot of the upcoming film ‘Sutrula’. They have alleged that the producer and director have purposely ‘planted the story’ in the media in order to gain ‘cheap publicity’ for the film.
“We have been made scapegoats,” the couple has said. The producer and director of the upcoming film ‘Suturala’ had said that Prajin and Sandra had ‘disappeared into thin air’ from the shooting spot at Coonoor where the film was being shot. Queries by some journalists in the ‘disappearance’, however, threw up many interesting facts.
When contacted, Prajin said “The director knew very well that we were leaving. We had shot continuously for 23 days and still had some sequences to be canned. The director, however, said that he had to shoot other sequences and said that it’d be enough if we turned up at the next schedule about which he would be informing us in the days to come.
“After reaching home, we were shocked to read in the papers about our ‘disappearance’ from the shooting spot. We don’t need to quit like that; we have been striving hard to make a name for ourselves in Kollywood. The director has only attempted to gain some ‘cheap publicity’ by spreading news that we had ‘disappeared’ from the shooting spot. No complaint has been lodged about this with the Nadigar Sangam or any other body.
“We would continue to star in the film only after the director convenes a press conference to offer his unconditional apology about the whole incident,” said Prajin.
