The much-awaited shooting schedule of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyaan gets postponed again. It has now been announced that the shoot, which was to get underway tomorrow (19th January) at Rajini’s favourite spot inside the premises of AVM Studios, has been postponed to 15th February.
Obviously, it means that Rajini’s fans would have to wait for four more weeks before they could watch their idol back in action. The fans’ patient wait, which has already lasted six months after Rajini’s return from Singapore last July, gets extended by a month. Rajini had to be air-lifted to Singapore in the last May for the treatment of his kidney related disorder.
It was assumed that shooting of Rana, the film which Rajini launched in April when he fell ill, would be re-started after Rajini’s return to Chennai. Rajini, though, took complete rest for 3 months and then started attending public events and functions of close relatives and friends. It was in early December that Soundarya announced that she would be directing her father in the animation film Kochadaiyan.
K.S. Ravikumar, who would be writing the story, dialogues and screenplay of the film besides ‘supervising’ greenhorn Soundarya’s direction, has made it clear that the shoot would commence on 15th February. As this would be the first film that Rajini would be doing after the colossal hit Enthiran: The Robot, expectations are of the extreme order amid his fans in and outside the country.
It is further reported that as announced earlier, the muhurat would be held tomorrow, the 19th January, at Chennai but the shooting would commence only from February. The film would be made as a full-length 3-D animation film on the lines of Hollywood’s Avatar and would be filmed using ‘motion capture technology’. Rahman would be scoring the film’s music.
