Actor Vishnu Vishal had a solitary release early this year in the form of Kullanarikootam. Directed by Sri Balaji, the film was a moderate hit. The film had Ramya Nambeesan as heroine opposite Vishnu and was appreciated for the racy script which was simple and uncomplicated. Though the film was a commercial success, neither Vishnu nor Ramya have been flooded with film offers in Tamil.
Vishnu, who debuted as hero in director Suseendhiran’s Vennila Kabadikuzhu in the year 2009, has acted in a few films like Bale Pandiya and Drohi. He was waiting for a ‘perfect’ project after Kullanarikootam. Reports say that in all probability, his next film is likely to be directed by Suseendhiran.
Suseendhiran is presently busy with the Vikram-Deeksha Seth starrer Rajapattai. After wrapping up Rajapattai, Suseendhiran might launch another film which would have Visnhu as the hero and would be a mixture of comedy and action. Vishnu knows well that in order to stay in the public memory, it is imperative for action to stay in the news and keep on doing films.
“I heard many scripts after the success of Kullanarikootam but wasn’t impressed by them. I was waiting for an ‘impressionable’ character which would make me identify with the audiences easily. Suseendhiran has narrated an interesting script to me, the details of which I can’t divulge at present. All I can say is that it’s a role that I haven’t attempted so far and that it would be made entirely in Suseendhiran’s usual style,” says Vishnu.
