Vikram’s Deiva Thirumagal wins 2 awards at Osaka Asian Film Festival, Japan

Director AL Vijay’s Deiva Thirumagal (DT) has bagged prestigious honors in the international arena. The film had hero Vikram playing a mentally challenged adult slipping into a 6 year old mind. Making it to the Osaka Asian Film Festival, Japan the movie has proudly pocketed 2 big awards.

Screened among many quality nominations DT won itself, The Best Entertaining film -ABC award and the Best film of the Festival – Grand prix Award. The film has some stunning performances from the rest of the cast including Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul, Nasaar and Santhanam. Anushka especially was appreciated for her de-glam looks for this release. Producers UTV and Sree Rajakaliamman Entreprises are extremely delighted for director AL Vijay and his unit. UTV chief Dhananjayan Govind sent out his good wishes saying, “Congratulations to Director Vijay & Vikram sir for the recognition. Great & happy to associate with the film.” Music composer GV Prakash, is on a personal high as he too congratulated the director and others. GV has joined hands with AL Vijay for his forthcoming Thaandavam that also has Vikram in the lead and Anushka Shetty donning the heroine’s role. Chiyaan fans are confident of this coming together, bringing in further international fame for their hero.
