The latest ‘hot’ talking point in Kollywood has been the character that actor Vikram has played in his upcoming film ‘Deiva Thirumaran’, which has been directed by Vijay (of ‘Madarasapattinam’ fame). The actor, who won the national award for ‘best actor’ for his role in Bala’s ‘Pithamagan’, has already touched dizzying heights in acting through the various characters he has played in his films so far.

Vikram plays Krishna, a mentally challenged person, in ‘Deiva Thirumagan’. In order to prepare himself to play the character with panache, Vikram visited a home for the mentally challenged children in Chennai prior to the film’s shooting started and observed keenly their body language, speaking style, the movement of their eyes, tongues, etc. and even the way they slept.
The film, whose shooting has been wrapped in record three months, is likely to be released on 6th May and would be preceded by its audio-launch scheduled on the Tamil New Year’s day on 14th April. The ‘stills’ of the film, released on the other day, were proof enough of the amount of hard-work that the actor had put in for his role in the film.
Lyricist Muthukumar said that another national award for ‘best actor’ is waiting for Vikram for his role in the film. Vikram has the dazzling Anushka and Amala Paul of ‘Mynaa’ fame as his heroines. Others in the cast include Nasser, M.S. Baskar, ‘Kadhal’ Pandi and Santhanam. Vijay also revealed his intention to take his film to the Oscars next year.
Let’s wish him in advance!
