Vijay’s Diwali release in Velayudham has completed a centurion run at theater halls across the state. The movie starring Vijay, Genelia D’Souza and Hansika Motwani sealed a box office revenue of Rs.89.1 crores, produced by Aascar Ravichandran under his banner Aascar Films.Distributed by Ayngaran International it served as a perfect action-masala offering coming from Director Jayam Raja. The Velayudham hero took forward his winning streak , with Director Shankar’s Nanban that’s still in demand at many centers.
Nanban being a top favorite for the past 3 weeks since it’s release is now receiving some good promotion from the hero himself. The movie has already got Shankar his first remake hit early in the year. Vijay was spotted making his rounds today, visiting the Archana and KG Theatres in Coimbatore. We are told that tomorrow’s schedule includes Usha Theatre in Tiruppur and some other halls in the area which will ensure that the ticket counters remain full for the coming days too. The actor took a break from his Thuppaki shoots, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who recently got an opportunity to catch upon his Nanban release. Director Murugadoss is totally in awe of the Vijay’s performance in the film. Finding fresh inspiration before resuming the Thuppaki shoots together again, Murugadoss is awaiting his hero’s return after he’s done with his promotional activities for Nanban.
Here’s a big round of applause for our Ilayathalapathy.
