After making the viewers get emotional with the film Deivathirumagal, director AL Vijay and Chiyaan Vikram are coming together for a full-fledged action flick titled Thandavam. Deivathirumagal had Vikram essaying the role of a mentally challenged person and ran for more than 100 days. It also had hotties Anushka and Amala Paul in deglamourized roles. Though Anushka was in the film, she didn’t star as Vikram’s heroine.
Vikram’s role in Deivathirumagal where he tried his best to re-unite with his small daughter (played by baby Sara) touched the emotional chords of the audiences, who patronized the film in a big way. After the film, Sara became a household name and even started appearing in many commercials on the television.
Thandavam would have Anushka and Amy Jackson, heroines of Vijay’s earlier two films, as heroines opposite Vikram. Unlike Deivathirumagal, Thandavam is billed as an action-packed entertainer. Vijay’s favourite music director G.V. Prakash Kumar would be scoring the music of Thandavam as well.
Nirav Shah would be the cinematographer of the film which is likely to be shot mostly in various locations in U.S. Anthony would be the editor. In order to ensure that the action sequences in the film should be remembered by the fans for a long time to come, Vijay has reportedly roped in a horde of Hollywood stunt choreographers.
The film is likely to release as a summer treat in 2012 for Vikram and Anushka’s fans!
