Vijay starrer Thupakki’s shoots have been progressing smoothly. The film has an all star crew with Director AR Murugadoss, taking up the project post his 7aam Arivu success. The director has roped in clinical lensman Santhosh Sivan to capture the shots for Thuppaki. Well Santhosh did manage to get some rest recently, thanks to Vijay’s impromptu efforts.
During the shoots conducted at the famous Linking Road, in Bandra,Mumbai the director had instructed his team to complete the scenes as early as possible. Fully aware of Vijay’s huge fan following in amchi Mumbai, Murugadoss had planned the scenes well in advance to avoid being mobbed by fans. When Cinematographer Santhosh Sivan was away adjusting his lights and getting ready to capture the final shot, he was taken aback to see his actor doing something unusual by all means. Vijay had the camera all by himself as he walked into the busily crowded streets, and shot the scene within the required time. When Santhosh put his cam on rewind mode to check the results, he was surprised to find that it was just as he had imagined. He congratulated the actor with a pat on his back, before everyone packed their bags to leave for the next location.
Now that’s Thalapathy magic for you.
