Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan’s film, ’96 is rumored to be a period film. However, the team has denied the rumors, adding that a major portion will indeed be set in the ’90s. The movie directed by cinematographer C Premkumar went on floors yesterday.
“The title marks the batch of school students. Trisha and I were classmates in the school according to the story,” revealed Vijay Sethupathi at the pooja ceremony which took place in the city yesterday.
Vijay Sethupathi will play a wildlife photographer in this romance drama, which will have Govind Menon of 100 Days of Love fame compose music. The project is being bankrolled by Nandhagopal of Madras Enterprises.
