Vijay dance in Rowdy Rathore

Prabhudeva is all set to wrap up the shooting schedule of his upcoming Hindi film Rowdy Rathore in about a fortnight’s time. The film is the Hindi remake of the Tamil super-hit Siruthai which starred Karthi (in dual roles) and Tamannaah. Akshay Kumar plays the lead role in the Hindi version which also has a ‘dance number’ by Ilayathalapathy Vijay who has danced in the film purely because of the friendship he shares with Prabhudeva.

Vijay’s dance number has reportedly come off very well and has impressed many of his Bollywood contemporaries including Akshay Kumar. Sonakshi plays Tamannaah’s role in Rowdy Rathore which has been jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwwallaah.

Released in Tamil last June, the film gave very good account of Karthi’s penchant for action-packed and humour-filled sequences. Akshay, who has starred in many hilarious comedies as well as the riveting action-sequences filled Khiladi series of films, is widely believed to be the ‘ideal’ choice to play the lead role in the film. A trained martial arts guy, Akshay would be doing an over-does of action sequences after almost seven years.

Vijay’s ‘guest’ dance in the film is said to have enough in it to boost the film’s box-office prospects. Vijay hasn’t starred in any film other than Tamil films as on date and as such would be debuting in Hindi films through this dance number. Akshay, who was in the sets during the filming of the song itself, praised Vijay overwhelmingly after the shoot of the song sequence.
