Ilayathalapathy Vijay has been working round the clock for the past few months as he has committed himself to starring simultaneously in two films, something which he hadn’t done in the past few years. He is starring in the mega-budget film by Ascar Ravichandran titled ‘Velayudham’ which is directed by ‘Jayam’ Raja besides director Shankar’s short-term production ‘Nanban’, which is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood super-hit film ‘3 Idiots’.
Thanks to his hit film ‘Kaavalan’ earlier this year, Vijay feels rejuvenated and is keen to maintain the winning streak with the above-said films. The actor is also quite happy on the personal front as the AIADMK an its allies, for which his fans campaigned in the April 13 elections to the State Assembly, have emerged victorious paving the way for the return of Amma in the saddle.
In a statement released to the press, Vijay has asked his fans not to celebrate his birthday (which falls on the 22nd of June) in a lavish manner and has asked them to continue to help the poor and the needy in the society. Following this announcement, his fans have started making arrangements as per the star’s directions.
Vijay’s fans also distributed computers to top 10 students who studied in Govt. schools and have come out on top in the SSLC exams. His father and director S.A. Chandrasekaran gave away the computers. He also said that on the day of his son’s birthday, many welfare measures would be announced. “These welfare measures would be unprecedented,” he hinted.
