The Pongal race did have big shots Nanban and Vettai in a contacting battle, with small releases at the receiving end. Many faced an exit even before making it to the 2nd week at the halls. Actor Vidharth’s Kollaikaran that released amidst the biggies did go a bit unnoticed to say the least. Unfazed the actor moves on to his next release in Kaatu Malli, attempting an interesting role
This new flick will have the actor don the role of a police officer .Directed by Mangal the movie Kaatu Malli will have three heroines playing pivotal roles opposite Vidharth.. Mangal an assistant of veteran director Bharathiraja is yet to finalize his heroines, with the hero agreeing to go ahead with the shoots. When quizzed how he feels on donning the role of a police cop, the actor says, “Success of a film is not just defined by the lead actor but also depends on a strong script and the way the character has been portrayed. There are many big actors whose movies have not gone well at the box office and when I did Mynaa as a fresh actor it was the script that worked strongly for the film. I am not here to make money. I can only deliver the best and hope things fall into place.” Vidharth’s next release Kaatu Malli will go on floors on February 24th
His role as a police role is surely awaited by many Mynaa fans here.
