The Anna Centenary library seems to be the preferred choice of our film makers of late. Though the place is was in the news for different reasons, nothing has fazed our filmmakers who are quite taken up with the grand venue.
Aravaan producer T Siva had a grand audio launch for his film there some weeks ago. Now Rajapattai, by PVP Cinema, had its audio launch there this weekend. The next in line is the grand audio launch of Lingusamy’s Vettai, planned for the 16th of Dec in the same venue.
Though Aravaan was a meticulously planned event, the same could not be said of the Rajapattai audio launch. Not only did it begin nearly one and a half hours after the prescribed time, the place was full of hooting fans and the sound effects were jarring and shrill, more so due to the shouting on the mikes by the three comperes who were maladjusted to each other! The entire event looked like it was planned in a hurry with hardly any co ordination between the comperes and several glitches in the electronic equipment. However, the film seems to be a big commercial venture and two songs seem to be the rage, composed by Yuvan.
Now it remains to be seen how the Vettai function is organized in this grand venue. The guest of honour include stars like Vishal, Karthi and Jayam Ravi, apart from producers and directors from the industry.
