Actress Trisha is presently attending the dubbing session of her upcoming film ‘Mankatha‘ opposite Ajith. The film, which is Ajith’s 50th and Trisha’s 40th in their respective film careers, would have its audio-launch through the radio channel ‘Radio Mirchi’ tomorrow wherein all the songs from the film would be aired on the channel.
The film’s shooting was completed recently and the post-production work is going on at a good pace. Trisha is said to be dubbing in her own voice, something she does only rarely. After Mani Ratnam’s ‘Aayutha Ezhuthu’ and K.S. Ravikumar’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, this would be only the third time that Trisha’s ardent fans and cine-goers would get to listen to Trisha’s ‘original’ voice on-screen.
Speaking to the press, director Venkat Prabhu said “The romantic sequences between Ajith and Trishal have come off really well. Trisha doesn’t appear merely as a glam-doll but has a very significant role in the film. She has been dubbing in her own voice for character in the film. After the film’s shooting was over, I saw the rushes and felt it would be better if Trisha dubbed in her own voice for her role.
“I spoke to Trisha about this; she immediately agreed to the idea. She has done a good job in the film, which would very soon be at a theatre near you. I’m sure the film would be just perfect to satisfy the ‘hungry’ fans of Ajith, who haven’t had a release of their ‘Thala’ in more than an year and are eagerly awaiting the 50th film of their idol!” concludes Venkat Prabhu.
