Trisha NDTV Indian of the year 2010

Trisha recently received the NDTV Indian of the Year award 2010 (Southern Star of the Year)we guess it is because of her recent act to promote cancer as everyone is not convinced yet it could be for her performance in Manmandhan Ambu.

this is what she had to say

“Just collected my NDTV Indian of the year award in Delhi. My happiest and proudest moment. I love India and I love cinema.

Received my award from Dr.Farook Abdullah. It was so overwhelming. Need to pinch myself to believe it. God is great and to share the evening with the highest dignitaries. Chief ministers, Chief Justices, Great Sportsmen and my film fraternity.

I also shared stage with the legend of cinema the one and only Rajni Sir. You truly amaze us and of course Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan and Katrina Kaif. Not forgetting my favorite people Mr.Prannoy Roy, Barkha Dutt and the rest of the NDTV team. Thank you so much for having me here and making me feel so special.”

  1. wat has she contributed to film industry that she receives southern star award. has she done any challengiing roles for the past 10 years. for all these she has ocupied her position only by galmour and nothing else.

after long time she has acted in gautam’s film excellent movie and the whole credit goes only to the director. As of todays trend the new comers are ready to do good roles. she has to stop acting glamour doll role and do something better roles.

morevover being tamil gal , she has to dub in her own voice as she did in MA.

  2. No You Wrooong!

Thrisha has professionalised actresses’ careers. Her schooling and collegiate studies leading to modelling and acting and her not involving in serious gossips thus portraying a serious worker’s image are all good models for aspiring young Thamil girls. She strikes me more like working girl than an actress. Being an actress with education and good English and involving in charity is becoming an acceptable and sought after profession. Thrisha is the catalyst.

And what many people don’t notice is the fact she fought hard and won after not so impressive entries. Did you see Saamy? She really acted in provoking outfits. It was because she decided to win. There is no point ending up as a looser saying I won’t do that or this after entering the cineman industry. And she is good actress; she does bring presence and her stamp. Thrisha has disciplined determination.

  3. Even I dont understand what for Trisha was awarded. I understand the bollywood stars receiving awards and the decade award for Rajini. But seriously what was the category under which she was even awarded? Looks silly. I find it funny that she thinks she deserves it.

  4. She was very good in VTV. She was the most sought after actress in the first 9 motnhs of 2010. That is the result of all the hard work in the previous years. Is it necessary to do a prostitute role or unusual roles for getting high recognition?

  5. If you want to see how good she is then see that scene in Gilly once more; her birthday scene. In that seen she is one of the prettiest you would ever imagine; see how she copes with sorrow and how she brings herself to presence to be happy; I still can’t forget that Thrisha.
