Trisha turns 29 today. The actress, who debuted in films almost a decade back, is still going strong despite signs of ‘ageing’ on her face. One the eve of her birthday comes the news that she has recently been signed up as heroine opposite ‘Jayam’ Ravi in the latter’s upcoming film titled Boologam. Reports had earlier claimed that Amala Paul was in the reckoning to star in the film opposite Ravi.
To be directed by debutant director Kalyan Krishna, it was also reported some time back that Nayantara might also be cast opposite Ravi in Boologam. However, pipping Amala and Nayan, Trisha has managed to bag the role. If no other heroine is signed up in addition, this could be the first film in the past 2-3 years wherein Trisha gets to play the solo heroine.
Produces and directors appear to be wary of Trisha’s solo presence which is reflected by the fact that most of Trisha’s recent films in Tamil and
Telugu have always had one or two more heroines in the film. It may be recalled that Ravi and Trisha had earlier starred in the hit film Unakkum Enakkum directed by Ravi’s brother Raja a few years back.
The film is expected to go to the floors by the 20th of this month for which a huge ‘market set’ is being erected inside the premises of a leading Studio in the city. The film is being produced by Ascar Films owned by Ravichandran and is touted as a ‘big-budget’ film.
