Tapasee Pannu a.k.a. Tapasee debuted as a heroine in Tamil films early this year with Aadukalam, directed by Vetrimaran. The film, which had actor Dhanush essaying the role of a common man who is a native of Madurai, won critical acclaim from critics besides winning appreciation from the print and television media in a big way.
Tapasee played an Anglo-Indian girl and the role suited her pro-English looks. The film managed to win the coveted national award for best actor for Dhanush besides a couple of awards. Though it wasn’t a rousing success at the box-office, the fact that the film was made with a high degree of nativity didn’t miss the viewers’ attention.
Pretty Tapasee appears to be still in the hangover of Madurai, even after several months after completing the shooting of the film Aadukalam. Tapasee never forgets to mention about her experience in staying at Madurai and in starring in the film whenever she gets the chance to chat with presspersons.
The actress looks quite competent enough to publish a book containing her experiences in staying in Madurai. In a matter-of-fact manner, she also mentions that the whole city resembles a ‘comedy television channel’ meaning that the people are so jovial and friendly in nature.
We only hope her remarks are not taken out of context!
