Tamil speaking heroine wanted for Karthis Saguni

Karthi

Soon-to-wed Karthi is presently diverting all his energies for his upcoming flick titled ‘Saguni’. As readers are well aware, the name Saguni, which spell deceit and disaster, is the name of the mythological character from the Hindu epic Mahabharata(*Corrected). No, Karthi isn’t playing a negative role but is only adapting ‘clever’ (morally right) strategies to wriggle himself out of the plots of his enemies; that’s why the name ‘Saguni’ for the film.

Directed by debutant director Shankar Dayal, the film was said to be a ‘political satire’ which would make the viewers laugh their hearts out. Dayal is on the look-out for a ‘brand new face’ as heroine opposite Karthi, as the character has been conceived in such a manner. This brings to an end to the rumours that Shriya Saran, one of the few actresses who possess the brain to match their beauty, would be pairing up opposite Karthi for ‘Saguni’.

Karthi has comedian Santhanam for company in the film. The last time the duo came together was for Karthi’s last film ‘Siruthai’, which rocked the box-office. The comic sequences in the combination of Karthi and Santhanam brought the roof down in theatres. Dayal is repeating the combination in ‘Saguni’ apparently hoping that the film would do as well as, if not better than, ‘Siruthai’.

“It’s a fact that the heroine is yet to be finalized. Dayal feels that she should be able to converse fluently in Tamil. The hunt is almost over and we would soon be announcing the name of the heroine,” says Karthi, who is said to be sitting glued to his cellphone during the breaks in shooting as he engages himself in ‘limitless’ conversations with Ranjani, his fiancé.
