Actress Amala Paul has issued a denial saying that she has been favouring mostly producers and directors from her native Kerala and that her first choice is Malayalam films. In a statement released to the press, pretty Amala has sought to dispel doubts about her commitment and has said that she would continue to give ‘first priority’ to Tamil films.
Thanks to last year’s super-hit ‘Mynaa’ in which she played the female lead, Amala has landed up many plum offers in her kitty including films opposite established stars like Vikram, Aarya and Madhavan. She is said to be one of the most sought-after actresses by the producers and directors and her denial is mainly to spread any sort of misconception about her ambition to make it big in Tamil films.
In her statement, Amala has said “It’s true that I had been offered a few Malayalam movies. The fact of the matter is that I have denied all those offers. I don’t hate to star in Malayalam films as Malayalam is my mother-tongue. For the time being, though, my priority is to devote as much time possible to Tamil films and stabilize my position in Kollywood.”
Amala is said to have signed along the dotted lines to star in a couple of Telugu films as well. The girl appears to be very clear in her mind as to which one(s) to reject and which one(s) to accept!
