The curvaceous beauty that she is, Tamannaah has millions of fans both in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The lovely lass has had two films releasing this year. The first one was Siruthai opposite Karthi directed by Siva which turned out to be a huge success in Tamil Nadu; it also ran to packed houses for many days in Andhra Pradesh in its dubbed version.
Tamannaah’s next released, Venghai opposite Dhanush and directed by Hari, didn’t do as well as expected. The film, which was her second film with Dhanush after the hit film Padikkadhavan more than two years ago, had good script and inspiring performances by Dhanush, Tamannaah and Prakashraj. As it’s often said in Kollywood, it’s difficult to pin-point one particular reason for a failed project while it is very easy to find more than one reason for a film’s success.
Thanks to her commitments in Telugu films, Tamannaah has been in Telugu land for the past few months. There were also rumours that she has had a heart-break in a love affair. When queried about this, Tamannaah smiles and replies, “Nothing like that, really…At this very moment, I have been doing very well in Telugu with a string of hits in Oosaravalli and Badrinath. In fact, I couldn’t have asked for more from my Telugu fans.
“Thanks to the successive hits, I have signed up quite a few films in Telugu which is likely to keep me busy here for at least an year or so. One of my Telugu films would soon be dubbed into Tamil and released in Tamil Nadu. For the present, I don’t have a single Tamil film project on hand. Though I’m listening to many scripts, nothing has excited me so far to take up the project.
“If everything goes well, I’m planning to do a Tamil film next year, preferably at the beginning of the year itself. God willing, I’d love to more Tamil films as Tamil fans have made me what I am today,” concludes Tamannaah, the ‘milky-white’ beauty!
