Suriya’s upcoming film Singam 3 is to be shot in four continents, it has been revealed by the film’s crew members. The film is likely to be shot in India (mostly Tamil Nadu), Africa, Europe and Australia and would be a truly ‘inter-continental’ film in nature!
Suriya and Hari, the successful hero-director combination which has tasted success several times in the past including the two Singam sequels, is planning a third film on the Singam sequel, the shoot of which is likely to commence in November. Those in the know say that Suriya is wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming film 24 as fast as he can so as to concentrate on Singam 3.
Tough cop Duraisingam, essayed by Suriya in the two sequels, may transfer into a ‘CBI officer’ for the upcoming Singam 3. Both Singam and Singam 2 were super-duper hits and their success has apparently forced Suriya and Hari to think of a third film in the series. As and when it goes to the floors, it would be the first time in the history of Tamil films that a three-film sequel is made.
Anushka, who was in the first and second parts, would be playing the heroine again in Singam 3 as well while Hansika from Singam 2 is replaced by Shruti Haasan, who had already starred opposite Suriya in her debut Tamil film 7aum Arivu. Karikudi is to figure prominently among the film’s locations in Tamil Nadu. Script of Singam 3 is likely to commence in Karaikudi and culminate in Paris, it is further reported.
