It’s final now: Sun Pictures, whose publicity reach is beyond any fathomable imagination thanks to the kind of control it exercises on the print and television media, would be distributing and releasing director Bala’s much-awaited Aarya-Vishal starrer ‘Avan Ivan’.
Bala, who takes not less than an year to make his film which stand out from the run-of-the-mill stuff dished out by Kollyood with unmistakable regularity, is said to be quite happy that all the hard work and effort that he put in during the past year or so would finally bear the expected fruit as the film is now in the hands of Sun Pictures.
Though Sun Pictures has acquired the distribution rights from Kalpathi Agoram’s AGS Entertainment some time back, it has not been able to release the film in the immediate future. The reason being that Sun Pictures, which has been stung by the unexpected failure of its ‘Maappillai’, is itching to make some quick money by releasing Prabhudeva’s ‘Jeyam’ Ravi-Hansika starrer ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ this Friday.
Only after some weeks of releasing ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ would Sun Pictures bother about releasing Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’. AGS is said to be apprehensive that the film shouldn’t undergo any change at this stage like re-shooting a particular sequence(s) which would further delay the film’s release!
