A.R. Murugadoss is known to persist with his own set of artistes and technicians in all his films. After making the colossal hit 7aum Arivu last year which starred Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead, Murugadoss has now started making Thuppakki which stars Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead.
Editor Antony had been an integral part of all the films made by Murugadoss till 7am Arivu. However, Murugadoss has roped in Sreekar Prasad as the editor of Thuppakki which has Vidyut Jamwal and Sathyan playing significant roles. Jamwal is debuting in Tamil films as villain and hopes the film would give him a ‘big’ break.
The film is being produced by ‘Kalaipuli’ Thanu and has music by Harris Jayaraj while Santosh Sivan takes care of the film’s cinematography. Prasad had worked as editor in ace director Maniratnam’s films like Alaipayudhae, Kannathil Muthamittal, Aydha Ezhuthu and Raavanan. Prasad’s dedication to work and his professional commitments have already earned him kudos from the film industry.
Prasad also won the national award for ‘best editing’ for his work in Maniratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal. Let’s see what sort of magic he is able to weave in the company of Murugadoss!
