Slumdog kids to act in Hollywood Movie

Slumdog Millionaire’s child actors Azharuddin Mohammed Shaikh and Rubina Ali Qureshi have been signed for a Hollywood movie.

The latest success for the two child actors from a Mumbai slum comes nearly two years after Slumdog Millionaire created history at the Oscars.

Azharuddin and Rubina will act in the Hollywood movie Lord Owen’s Lady directed by Danny Boyle, Rubina’s publicist and agent Dinesh Dubey said. Lord Owen’s Lady, is being produced by Dragons Productions (Wales) Ltd, based in London and Cardiff.

They will each be paid £1,000 per day for 20-25 days of shooting, their contract says.

The shooting of this movie will start in early 2011. Hollywood star Anthony Hopkins will play as the father of Lord Owen in this movie. Azharuddin and Rubina are in Hopkin’s grandchildren’s role in this movie.
