Singamuthu, who is facing a set of allegations from Vadivelu, got some relief on Tuesday when the Principal Sessions Judge P Devadoss granted anticipatory bail to the actor in a case against him for some alleged offences including criminal intimidation and attempt to murder.
Granting the anticipatory bail, the Judge said Singamuthu should furnish a bond for Rs 3,000 and two sureties. He should also report before the police concerned on Mondays and Fridays, the Judge added.
The case in which the comedian got anticipatory bail on Tuesday was filed against him for alleged offences including criminal intimidation and attempt to murder. The case had been registered by the Virugambakkam police on a complaint from an office staff of Vadivelu.
It was alleged in the complaint that Singamuthu and others had gone to Vadivelu’s house and threatened him with dire consequences. Singamuthu however told the court that a false complaint had been registered against him in order to harass him.
