Did you guys know Shruti Haasan learnt Bharatnatyam but she couldn’t pursue it later in life as many other passions took over, you know there was music composing then acting and other many acts that we find hard to keep a count of.

You know what’s trendy these days, still thinking don’t it is Kuchupudi. Stumped?

Siddharth and Shruti as you know will be collaborating again in O My Friend and directorial venture by debutant Venu Sriram under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations she will also be training in Kuchupudi as part of her preparations for the movie.

The star revealed “Learning Kuchupudi for a new film! It’s challenging and I’m learning so much! Wish I had continued bharatanatyam as a kid.”

That sounds regretting. Well, for the culturally ignorant the Classical Indian dance form is from Andhra Pradesh in India .It traditionally performed to classical Carnatic music, and notably shares many common elements with Bharatanatyam too. No wonder Shruti is finding familiar ground somewhere.Shruti is positive about learning the dance and is sure to pick up fast thanks to dad Kamal Haasan proficient in many dances of India himself.

We keep our fingers crossed; hopefully she sticks on to this passion and doesn’t deviate to something new. Keep at it Shruti we are praying to keep the distractions away.
