Shantanoo, son of actor-director K. Bhagyaraj, is gearing up for his grand entry in the world of Telugu films. The only son of the star couple of Bhagyaraj and Poornima, Shantanoo would soon be debuting in Tollywood as hero with the film which would be the remake of his last Tamil film ‘Sidhu Plus Two’.
‘Sidhu….’, which met with moderate success in Tamil, was directed by K. Bhagyaraj himself in an apparent attempt to boost the career prospects of his son, who didn’t make much headway after debuting as hero in Tamil films in ‘Sakkarakatti’ a couple of years back.
Directed by Chandramahesh, the film has been given the title of ‘Love in Hyderabad’ and stars the popular Kannada heroine Aindrita Ray opposite Shantanoo. The audio-launch of the film would be held towards the end of this month with the film’s theatrical release planned during mid-April, informs Shantanoo.
Shantanoo says he’s now more confident with his Telugu dialect than he was at the start of the shooting of the film a few months ago. “Thanks to my Telugu-speaking friends who interacted with me in Telugu during the past few months, I have managed to pick up some Telugu,” says a smiling Shantanoo.
The Telugu version stars Sayaji Shinde and Brahmanandam in major roles and has the script by the king of ‘screen-play writing’, K. Bhagyaraj.
