Shaam’s upcoming movie has been titled interestingly. The film’s title bears no words but a solitary logo resembling the number 6 with a candle shown to be burning on its top. For all practical purposes, it can be referred to as Six Candles. Badly needing a hit to survive in the industry, Shaam appears in 6 different get-ups in the film which has dialogues by popular author Jayamohan and is directed by V.Z. Dhorai.
The story kicks off from Tamil Nadu and shifts to Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, Bhopal, Delhi, Goa, Kanpur, Lucknow to culminate in Kolkata. Shaam is likely to shed 20–25 kgs of his present weight to make him fit to star in this film. A special medical team headed by Dr. Selvam and comprising a physio, dietitian, yoga expert, meditation guide and a physical trainer has been set up to monitor the actor’s health during the shoot.
Not often does an actor lose so much weight for his character(s) in a film. Shaam seeks to take cue from Hollywood’s Tom Hanks (Castaway) and Christian Bale (The Machinist). Jagadish Sreekumar, a Malayalam veteran who has starred in more than 1000 movies in Malayalam, would be making his debut in Tamil with this film through significant role.
Cinematography is to be taken care of by Madhie while Srikanth Deva would be scoring the music. Anthony would be the editor while Dhorai would be penning the story and screenplay besides directing the film. A couple of schedules of the film has already been completed with the crew heading towards Bhopal for the next schedule.
