Selva Raghavan’s wife Gitanjali stars in Mayakkam Enna

Selvaraghavan Wife Geetanjali to act

After announcing on his social networking site a few weeks ago that he won’t be able to release his upcoming directorial venture titled Mayakkam Enna on Deepavali eve due to ‘personal reasons’, director Selvaraghavan has reportedly started to wrap up the remaining portion of the film’s shoot and the post-production work to ensure that the film releases either by end-December or in January.

Mayakkam Enna stars Dhanush and debutant heroine Richa Gangopadhyay in lead roles. Many years after they came together for the gangster flick Puduppettai, Dhanush is joining hands with his elder brother Selvaraghavan for Mayakkam Enna. Now that Dhanush has become an established actor and Selvaa a director to reckon with, expectations about their new (joint) venture are sky-high.

Selvaa, who married Gitanjali a few months back, has reportedly drafted her in to star in a small but significant role. Gitanjali is also doubling up as the executive producer of the film. Readers might recall that Gitanjali was one of the many assistant directors of Selvaa before falling in love with him and marrying him this year. Gitanjali is also said to be giving suggestions and ideas to Selvaa in shaping up some sequences in the film.

Knowing Selvaa’s credentials in handling his heroines and other actresses, shall we say Selvaa has hit upon another wonderful acting talent in Gitanjali?

  1. ivanga ellam parkathan decent mathiri act panuvange but actually they are not. they make mistake like normal human being. atleast kudos to selva for marrying her.

  2. hi wina – why are u saying they make mistake like normal human beings? they are normal human beings rite? wat else u think they are?

  3. Hi usha. What I meant was that people like Selva and danush behave like they are special human being, you know they talk less and keep to themselves a lot also they don’t have bad gossip written about them by the media giving the impression that they are great. Well it’s just my observation that’s all.
