Santosh Sivan – the man with a golden eye is all set with his new project. Santhosh next film is titled “Ceylon” and it’s about 3 civilians & their living issues in the disturbed nation of Srilanka. On further inquiry Santosh hinted that he has no plans of crossing the safety lines, as he said, “The script is certainly not focused on the war groups and neither is it a biopic on the LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran”. He further added, “My main aim is to highlight the plight of the refugees from Sri Lanka who have been displaced from their land due to the domestic war in the country.”
He said that Ceylon is his “dream project” and the prolific cinematographer turned director has been working on the script for quite a long time now. After rounding up his Pathinaindhaam Nootraandu Uraivaal commitments Santosh will pack his bags for Ceylon. He plans to bring in some fresh new faces, who can speak Tamil with a tinge of Jaffna accent for this forthcoming film,
Rumors were abuzz on him dropping the Ceylon project altogether, but now that word is out fans can look forward to a fresh take on the Eelam Tamil issue.
