Sameera Reddy shifts base to Kannada

Actress Sameera Reddy is heading straight to Sandalwood. Even though she did enjoy a good Vettai run at the halls, her act in Vishal’s Vedi proved out to be an old cracker failing to make any impact. Taking a fresh turn, Sameera has landed herself Varadhanayaka in Kannada.

It’s Sameera’s first ever sign up for a Sandalwood project and the actress is totally excited about it. Assuring her new fans, she is determined to learn Kannada and speak the language soon. Not many know that her mom belongs to the place as she tells us, “My mom is a Kannadiga and belongs to Madikeri. She is a Konkani Kannadiga and speaks Kannada very well.” On her way, Sameera is taking along her experience as an assistant director working for Gautham Menon’s Neethanae En Ponvasantham. Gautham presented her with a special place choosing to play her lead in his block-buster Surya starrer Vaaranam Aayiram. The lady also has Priyadarshan’s next in Tezz, starring opposite star actor Mohanlal. Her latest in ‘Varadanaayaka’ has Sameera in a wife role, opposite actor Sudeep a police officer in the film. Directed by Ayyappa P. Sharma, its remake of Telugu Lakshyam, that had Anushka Shetty in lead. All the best for Sandalwood, Sameera.
