Sexy Sameera Reddy appears hardly unperturbed by the no-show of her latest Tamil film Vedi opposite Vishal. The actress, who always loves to live in the present, is already looking forward to her next release in Vettai which has Madhavan, Aarya and Madhavan as her co-stars. The film is being directed by Lingusamy and is billed as a mixture of action and comedy.
Sameera sure knows how to balance her Tamil and Hindi film commitments. She has a special liking for Tamil films and Tamil film directors and has gone on record more than once in the past about it. “There are plenty of differences in the working styles of Bollywood and Kollywood. As far as my knowledge is concerned, people in the South Indian film industry don’t want to waste the call-sheets of the actors and actresses.
“They also appear to work in a devoted manner and seem to be supremely confident of what they set out to do. The kind of love and affection they shower on the stars, especially like us who are from other languages, is simply unbelievable.
“I have danced for an ‘item number’ in a new Hindi film by Priyadarshan. Today’s producers and directors have known the significance of ‘item songs’ and the contribution of those songs to the film’s success. As such, ‘item girls’ have come a long way in films. Personally, I respect all actresses who perform ‘item songs’ in films. I salute them for their hard-work and dedication,” concludes Sameera.
