Newcomer Shabarish would soon be debuting as hero in Kollywood with a film titled ‘Markandeyan’ which would be releasing in theatres this Friday (29th July). Young Shabarish is the son of noted award-winning stunt choreographer ‘FEFSI’ Vijayan, who also served as president of FEFSI for a few years. Vijayan has also starred as a menacing villain in films like Ajith’s ‘Villain’ and Vikram’s ‘Dhil’.
He is launching his son Shabarish in a big way with ‘Markandeyan’ and has penned the story of the film besides directing it. The films also marks Vijayan’s directorial debut in Tamil; the muscle-man has already directed six Telugu films in the past. Vijayan also happens to be the favourite stunt choreographer of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Reminiscing about how he got the enviable physique for the film, Shabarish says, “I was quit fat till a few years ago when I dreamt of becoming an actor. My father introduced me to Salman, who has one of the best physiques in the country. I feel he’s the ideal hunk with killer-looks and a macho body. It was because of my father that I got many useful tips from Salman on how to kill those flab around the waist.
“Salman sincerely taught me the art of losing weight without becoming weak and then taught me how to develop a muscular body. Thanks to his guidance, I lost as many as 25 kilos in about eight months’ time and still felt very strong. He even appreciated me when we met last during the shooting of his Dabbang and said that my body was okay. Coming from Salman, I took it as a great compliment,” concludes Shabarish who has Pinky from Thailand as his heroine in his debut film.
Let’s wish him a happy tenure in films!
