Revathy says National award ‘a pleasant surprise’

Kollywood’s well known face Revathy has got another National award in the counting. This will be her third association with the National awards having won the honors for her work in Thevar Magan as Best supporting actress and Mitr My Friend as Best Feature Film in English directed by Revathy, herself. Her fresh efforts in the film ‘Red Building Where The Sun Sets’ bagged the top spot in the ‘Best Non-Feature Film Category’ at the 59th National Awards.

Revathy, who had her name among the winners announced yesterday shared the news saying, “I’m happy that I won this award.” ‘Red Building Where The Sun Sets’ is produced by EDUmedia. The film having actors Anu Hassan, Sunil Vishnu and kid Abhayanandha Varma, throws light on the stress faced by kids today, constantly pressurized by their parents. Made in the short film format, it runs total 17-minutes and brings forth the importance of family values. Winning the National award Revathy tells us, “I must say that we made it for awareness and didn’t aim for any award. This has come as a pleasant surprise”.

Congrats Revathy, you’ve still got things going all good 🙂
