Remember the baby-faced Johnny, who debuted in the successful but violent film Renigunta almost a couple of years back? Johnny, son of producer S.S. Chakravarthy of Nic Arts, debuted in the film along with the heroine Sanusha. The film was directed by debutant Paneerselvam. Though the film was a success, Johnny didn’t get as many offers in Tamil as he would have liked. He is currently acting in 18 Vayusu directed by Renigunta director Panneer Selvam.
Johnny would soon be starring in another film to be made by his father’s Nic Arts. The film is billed as an action-packed thriller. In order to make himself suitable for the role he would be essaying in the film, Johnny is said to have undergone rigorous physical training to get the much-spoken about six-pack abs look on his physique. Johnny is said to be very excited about his role in the film.
Chakravarthi has roped in Manigandan, an assistant who has worked with Vetrimaran in Polladhavan and Aadukalam, to direct the film. In order to prop up the film’s box-office prospects, it is rumoured that Vetrimaran has agreed to pen the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film. Industry watchers say that as and when Vetrimaran does so, it would surely be a fillip to the film’s success at the box-office.
After all, who won’t love to star in the story and dialogues penned by a national award-winning director?
